BBC World launch Dynamic Junctions

BBC World are to revolutionise the content between their programmes with new on-screen graphics, known as Dynamic Junctions.
The 'junctions' have been created by BBC Broadcast, a commercial arm of the BBC, which provides channel management services to the BBC and other companies.
Rachel Attwell, Deputy Head of Television News, said: “This fresh concept of presenting promotions came from an original idea devised by Neil Parkinson, Editor of Network Planning, BBC News, and was skilfully executed by BBC Broadcast. It carries strong, useful content and attention-grabbing programme clips. This new approach keeps our audience across the world better informed than ever.”

The varied content of the new junctions is constantly updated and the format is reactive, engaging and flexible. The content keeps viewers fully informed of the programmes coming up next and in the near future on the channel; current information in the form of news bulletins; local time zone programme guides; 15 second promotional clips of upcoming programmes; appointment to view information; audience comment; plus regular weather and financial market updates.
In addition, this dynamic scheme offers a unique branding opportunity for advertisers, bolstering the excellent creative media solutions available to BBC World’s clients.
