Leader win two awards at IBC 2003

Leader Electronics Corporation received has received two prestigious awards, presented at the annual International Broadcasting Convention.
A panel of distinguished judges nominated the Leader LV5700 multi-format SDI waveform monitor) with FS3018 Lighting Monitor software to receive a Recognition of Technical Achievement award.
Paul Vos, Managing Director of Leader's European Master Distributor, elQuip BV, accepted the award from IABM Chairman Martin Salter on behalf of the Leader design team.
The FS3018 Lighting Monitor, which made its European debut at IBC 2003, enables television and film lighting directors to view the camera output via a hand-held wireless PDA along with technical information derived from a Leader LV5700 waveform monitor. Any spot on the picture can be selected via the PDA's cursor controls for numeric analysis of percentage colour component levels.
Additional controls on the PDA select picture mode, zoom (X1, X2, X3, X4, X8) and image refresh. Leader's LV5700 provides video and audio waveform display functions plus vectorscope, eye pattern and picture monitoring on a high resolution (1024 x 768 pixel XGA) TFT colour LCD screen.
The second presentation was a 'Highly Commended' Award in the Shell-Scheme category from the convention organisers for Leader's IBC 2003 exhibition stand.
Paul Vos commented: "Our design strategy was to create an open and welcoming booth with each product group very clearly labelled. We avoided the classic mistakes of harsh high-contrast lighting and booth-front barriers, opting for clear overall illumination and easy access to the equipment.
"We also provided seating and desk-space for any client wishing to engage in detailed discussion. It is surprising how many show exhibitors overlook these obvious elements."
