Leader introduce LV5700A analogue/digital waveform monitor

Leader Electronics have announced a major new option for the LV5700 multi-standard HD/SD waveform monitor.
In addition to the existing model's digital signal handling capabilities, the LV5700A is equipped with analogue NTSC/PAL composite and 525/625 component I/O. Two composite inputs and one switched output are provided. When operated in component mode, the LV5700A can display Y/Pb/Pr levels as RGB. Analogue monitoring functions include picture, waveform and vector displays.
Paul Vos, managing director of Leader's European Master Distributor, elQuip, said: "Practically all broadcasters operate in a hybrid analogue/digital environment. Analogue signals by their nature require inherently high-stability monitoring tools. The analogue processing option makes the LV5700A one of the most powerful dual-mode broadcast signal analysers on the market, freeing its users from the need to retain legacy analogue test and measurement equipment. The new model has the same compact size as the LV5700 and provides video and audio waveform display functions plus vectorscope, eye pattern and picture monitoring on a high-resolution TFT colour LCD screen."
When linked to Leader's award-winning FS3018 Lighting Monitor via a wireless PDA, the LV5700A allows remote viewing of digitally-sourced picture, waveform, colour vectors and status data. Any spot on the picture can be selected via the PDA's cursor controls for numeric analysis of percentage YRGB colour component levels. Available now, the LV5700A can handle a wide range of HD-SDI video formats and both SD-SDI systems.
