Gogglebox Kids Commissioned By Ch4

Channel 4 has announced the commission of a one-off 'Gogglebox Kids' Christmas special from Studio Lambert.

The 1 x 60' show will reveal what children throughout the UK really think about what is going on in the world; looking at a number of key moments from 2015, including the cakes on 'The Great British Bake Off', to the fate of Cecil the Lion.

Tim Harcourt, Creative Director, Studio Lambert, said: "We have seen that kids say the funniest things on TV, and this version of the Channel 4 hit will allow school children from different backgrounds to do this as they react to their screens – big and small. We think that this Christmas special will show more than their views on visual content and TV today, it will reveal how they see the world around them."

David Glover, Head of Specialist Factual, Channel 4, added: "I first saw Jurassic Park in a cinema with some kids sitting behind me. There's a scene in which you see some jelly wobble to the thud of an impending dinosaur. The kid behind me just said, 'Jelly!' That makes me think this could work."

Gogglebox Kids was commissioned by David Glover. Executive Producer Freya Sampson and Series Producer Tom Peppiatt are making the special for Studio Lambert.
