Gigawave showcase wireless camera system at IBC

The latest addition to the Gigawave range of digital products is a clip-on version of the highly successful dockable D-Cam wireless camera system, which was launched at IBC last year.
The ease of operation of the 'Clip-on' D-Cam will appeal to news crews and other cameramen who need to record the footage they shoot, as well as transmitting live images back to an ENG truck.
The new product simply clips onto the camera’s battery adaptor plate. The battery, in turn, clips onto the D-Cam transmitter module, transforming a standard newsgathering camcorder into a digital wireless camera.
Since its introduction, the outstanding performance and reliability of D-Cam has impressed engineers and production personnel alike. It has also changed people’s perception of wireless cameras and the ways that they can be used.
The D-Cam is now a ‘must have’ accessory for broadcasters covering major sporting events, as well as entertainment and variety shows. A total of five D-Cam wireless camera systems were used at the recent IAAF World Championships, in Paris.
In addition to the new range of digital products the Gigawave Sales Team will be on hand at IBC to provide information on Gigawave analogue products, ENG antennas, and peripheral equipment."
