Aurora Multimedia, provider of state-of-the-art A/V technologies, has unveiled its V-Tune Pro 4K Tuner at InfoComm 2015 in Orlando, Florida. Designed for any integrated multiformat system, the innovative tuner also offers IPTV decoding – providing settings such as classrooms or digital signage applications with easy switching between any broadcast channels or streaming media source.

"As streaming media continues to take over the content landscape, it's become easy for users to be overwhelmed by the wide range of IP broadcast sources suddenly available," said Paul Harris, CEO, Aurora Multimedia. "Aurora Multimedia's V-Tune Pro 4K Tuner is specifically made to facilitate the content selection process by providing an intuitive method that lets customers select sources by simply changing channels. With no intricate control systems required, the solution also adds enormous value for the integrator community, enabling the convergence of any streaming format without requiring any complex setup processes or programming experience."

Made to satisfy any system requiring IPTV, ATSC, QAM, NTSC, or PAL formats, Aurora Multimedia's V-Tune Pro 4K provides the additional capability of decoding MPEG2, MPEG4, VC-1, H.264, and H.265 with resolutions up to 4096x2160 at 60Hz via both RF and LAN access. Featuring an onboard 4K scaler for viewing 1080P HD content on 4K displays, the innovation increases installation flexibility via options such as IR, RS-232, and IP-based control. For added flexibility, the unit includes both HDMI 2.0 video outputs in addition to composite video for legacy equipment. Audio is provided via unbalanced stereo RCA connections, S/PDIF, and optical inputs.

Featuring the ability to program any channel for OTA/Broadcast or content streaming directly from LANs, the V-Tune Pro 4K lets users to switch between any type of content easily, just by changing channels. While channel setup and configuration capabilities can be cloned to speed up the setup process, the device simultaneously supports all 4K2K media via both broadcast and streaming over IP. To satisfy the adoption phase to full 4K content, the unit boasts a 4K scaler to upscale any non-4K media to a 4K display.

The V-Tune Pro 4K is available now.
