Drone Aerial Pictures, based in MediaCityUK, have announced a merger with London based Aerial and VFX Camera Facilities company The Lens Foundry.

Drone Aerial Pictures provides remote aerial filming facilities using Unmanned Aerial Systems. Its facilities now include motion control and camera tracking to stabilised mounts, aerial cinematography and LIDAR scanning. The company now holds offices now in both MediaCityUK and London.

"The Lens Foundry now operates nationwide and we now have the largest fleet of UAS in the industry," a statement said. "Our team has a combined experience within the features and television industries with credits including Downton Abbey, Dr Who, Sherlock, Poldark (new drama series), Whitechapel and Prometheus to name a few.

"In addition we've recruited a new client and business manager Deane De-Beger. Dean comes with a wealth of experience having worked most recently for Pinewood based Movietech and prior to this for 16 years with Arri Media."
