DVS announces a new sales structure

Aiming at providing a more market-focused distributor network, DVS have announced a restructuring programme to its European sales effort.
Previously the company sold its products in Europe exclusively through DVC Digitalvideo Computing GmbH. Changes in the market and a need to get closer to its customer base, have required DVS to rethink its European sales strategy and build around its Hanover-based outlet in Germany.
The result of this restructure is that the exclusive relationship with DVC has been discontinued and DVS distributor sales outlets are being established in all major European countries. DVC will continue to sell DVS products on a non-exclusive basis.
“We needed to put a sales network in place that would enable us to gain the kind of market share that our products deserve” said Dr Hans-Ulrich Weidenbruch, Managing Director of DVS.
He added: “We could never achieve the expansion we require in Europe by selling through one outlet.”
DVS in Hanover, Germany, is a leading manufacturer of digital video products for research and development as well as for film and TV studios. The company offers a wide range of disk and RAM recording solutions for TV, digital film and post production.
Many of the market's video compression techniques were developed with DVS’ simulation systems. DVS’ OEM products, HDStationOEM and SDStationOEM are used throughout the industry by leading manufacturers and integrators.
Targeting the international market, DVS is represented by its subsidiary in the USA – DVS Digital Video Inc in California. The company also has numerous distributors in Europe and Asia.
The new sales structure is effective immediately.
