Lottery money backs new UK horror feature

Neil Marshall, the director of UK box office hit Dog Soldiers is continuing the cinema audience's current fascination with original British horror films by developing a new 'terror fest' set in the North Sea in partnership with the Film Council's Development Fund.
Outpost is set on a derelict oilrig where a secret genetic experiment goes horrifically awry. 48 hours later a special military forces team arrives to investigate only to find themselves faced with a fearsome and mutating opponent. The film is being written by Marshall and produced by Keith Bell at Northmen Productions. Casting has not yet begun, but the makers are looking to expand on their current cult status.
