Eyeheight introduce MX-9B Maxi-Box

A new price-efficient housing for the Eyeheight geNETics range of broadcast and post-production equipment, the MX-9B Maxi-Box is the same size as the established 1U FB-9 Flexi-Box and accommodates up to 12 modular products on six cards.
The MX-9B is designed for use in offline situations where hot-swappability and a redundant power supply are not required. Like the FB-9, the MX-9B can be linked directly to internal automation systems or operated from a local or remote FP-9 Flexi-Panel.
Eyeheight Managing Director Martin Moore commented: "The FB-9 has proved an enormously successful basis for almost the entire Eyeheight product family, combining high inherent reliability with the failure-proofing demanded for broadcast presentation and playout.
“Offline facilities prefer the speed and stability of dedicated equipment to the vagaries of purely software-based products but do not need to invest in features such as hot-swappability and dual power supplies. The MX-9B configuration offers a 30 per cent saving compared with the price of a standard FB-9."
