SRS Labs nominated for Emmy

SRS Labs, a leading provider of innovative audio, voice and semiconductor technology solutions, have announced that Thomas Huth was nominated for a sound-related Emmy for the Daphne Does Dinner episode of NBC’s series 'Frasier,' which was mixed and broadcast using SRS Labs’ Circle Surround (CS) technology.
CS allows professional audio engineers to encode up to 6.1 channels of discrete audio for distribution or broadcast over existing two-channel carriers such as television, cable, streaming media over the Internet, CDs and VHS tapes.
Huth, a 12-time Emmy Award winning re-recording mixer for Larson Studios in Hollywood, Calif., explains the simplicity of the Circle Surround process: “CS enables me to produce surround broadcasts without changing the infrastructure of my studio, making everything faster and easier, while providing a greater sound quality. This is an elegant solution for delivering compelling surround sound to the masses.”
