Studio Davout choose Solid State Logic

Leading French independent studio Davout have been hosting sessions for a number of key artists in their recently upgraded Studio A, which now features an 80-channel XL SuperAnalogue console.
Among these are Johnny Hallyday, Ben Harper, Bashung, Bernard Lavilliers, Jean Louis Murat and Serge Lama.
Engineer Stéphane Reichart, who worked at Davout with multi-million selling artist Patrick Bruel on his most recent album, said: “After recording and mixing most of the Patrick Bruel project on Davout’s old J series console, we decided to go back to the studio to record three extra songs for a live album. Everything was done on the brand new XL console. Its transparency, flexibility and easy access make it a really musical and constructive instrument for mixing and also for scoring. It is my favourite desk.”
Since its foundation in the 1960’s, Davout has played host to countless headline artists from Maurice Chevalier to The Rolling Stones, encompassing every musical genre. Additionally the studio is widely used for orchestral work for films and albums, most recently recording the strings on the latest album for French rock legend, Johny Halliday.
