The Machine Room produce sixth Noddy DVD Disc

The Machine Room are scripting, encoding and authoring the latest in the popular series of Noddy DVDs.
‘Catch a Falling Star’, the sixth Noddy disc that The Machine Room have produced, is due for release on October 13 2003. It is produced by Chorion and will be distributed by Universal Pictures Video.
In keeping with the rest of the Noddy DVD series, the brief was to educate pre-schoolers but also be simple to use and fun. The Machine Room was heavily involved in pre-production meetings, and was tasked with coming up with a number of ideas to add an interactive element to the TV footage on the DVD.
The Machine Room team encoded the DVD, wrote all the scripts, themed the main menus, created the graphics and answer screens and lip-synched the Noddy footage to the voiceover. The DVD was authored using Spruce DVD Maestro, and tested to ensure compatibility across as many platforms as possible. The design team utilised Photoshop, After Effects and Discreet smoke for the menus and game graphics.
Producer Rowan Tafler at Chorion, said: “We have an excellent relationship with The Machine Room and once again they have surpassed the brief we gave them. This was to produce an innovative disc, which retains the strong look of the Noddy brand and uses interactivity to provide the young audience with a user-friendly, entertaining and educational experience.”
