HHB upgrades media range
Coinciding with NAB conference, HHB Professional Recording Media have announced a complete performance upgrade right across their media range.
The move will be heralded by new packaging design, plus the introduction of a number of audio/video formats including DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM.
The majority of HHB's CD-R media now uses an advanced Phthalocyanine recording dye and a silver reflective layer to deliver 1x-16x recording speeds and a secure archival life in excess of 200 years. The range of 74-minute, 80-minute, printable and bulk-packaged discs are comprehensive and include CD-RW rewritable disc delivering 1000 record cycles and an archival life of more than 100 years.
Anticipating the widespread adoption of DVD formats by professional users, HHB is launching two high-performance DVD-R discs, two rewritable DVDs and three DVD-RAM discs to create a comprehensive range of high performance DVD media on the market.
HHB have also developed a professional disc for each format - the HHB DVD+RW4.7-PLUS and DVD-RW4.7GB-Minus. Both discs use an advanced In-Ag-Sb-Te recording layer allowing 100,000 erase/record cycles and, like all four HHB DVD discs, are packed in high-quality library cases with paper parts designed specifically for professional audio and video users.
Managing Director, Ian Jones, said: "Dependable recording media is the most vital link in the chain of any production and HHB are proud to announce this re-doubling of our commitment to producing the most reliable and comprehensive range of professional recording media on the market.
"We're particularly excited about our new DVD products and are pleased to offer video professionals the levels of performance, compatibility and archival security that our audio customers have enjoyed for many years."
HHB will be a booth L3226 at NAB 2002.
