Equator and ImageCom team up for software solution launch

Equator Technologies Inc and ImageCom have announced the availability of the ImageCom H.263 and H.263+ software video codec for the Equator BSP family of high-performance Broadband Signal Processor chips.
The combined solution is designed for video conferencing and video surveillance applications, and it can be licensed directly from Equator.

Furthermore, Equator’s customers can make use of ImageCom’s extensive video development tools – ImageProveTM – and enjoy the benefit of ImageCom’s continual enhancements to the codec modules, following the advances in the standards, to provide feature-rich, fully standards-compliant and fully interoperable software."

The new software video codec provides fully standards-compliant encoder and decoder, optional annexes for H.263+, full frame rate, 30 fps running on Equator MAP-CA, and optional pre-filtering.
