APT announce strong product line-up for IBC 2003

APT (Audio Processing Technology), developers and suppliers of the apt-X suite of compression algorithms, will use the IBC 2003 platform to display a number of broadcast audio solutions for transportation over digital networks.
The WorldNet Tokyo is a multi-algorithm ISDN codec for Broadcast, Post Production and Voice Over applications. For many years these markets have required an ISDN codec that offers Standard 16 bit apt-X, Enhanced 16, 20 and 24 bit apt-X, ISO MPGEG Layer II, Layer III, G.722 and AAC. With the release of the WorldNet Tokyo, users can be guaranteed connectivity with traditional APT codecs i.e. WorldNet DSM100/Pro-Link, DRT128 and BCFs in addition to ISDN codecs from Telos, CCS, AETA, AEQ and Dialog 4/Orban.
The WorldNet Milano is a codec that ensures low delay links (sub 5 milliseconds end-to-end) for Studio to Transmitter Links terminating in an X.21 or V.35 data format. The WorldNet Milano offers integral ISDN Terminal Adapters for “Mission Critical” back-up applications. Fully duplex in nature, the Milanos also offer (as standard) Analogue and Digital (AES/EBU) Input/Output’s, Alarm Relays, contact closure for remote control and embedded RS232.
The WorldNet Rio is a very popular audio codec for permanent Studio to Transmitter Links and Studio-to-Studio networking. Using 16, 20 or 24 bit Enhanced apt-X™, broadcasters can ensure an exceptionally low coding delay (latency) of sub 5 milliseconds and production quality audio. A common configuration is to interface up to 7 x WorldNet Rios with a generic E1 or T1 Multiplexer, a solution which will offer 7 x 15kHz Stereo, fully duplex channels of audio.
