Scrub Supplies ENVY With Avid S6

HHB Communications' Scrub division has supplied ENVY Post Production with the first Avid S6 control surface in Central London. Scrub installed and configured the S6 in a new audio suite in Envy’s second building in Rathbone Place, Soho, where it will be used for film trailers, VOD, high-production online content and more.

The S6 is a customisable, modular system that provides ENVY with the option to select the individual modules as needed and tailor the console configuration to suit their workflow. ENVY has chosen an 8-fader M10 S6 with Pro Tools HDX and version 11 software. Additional Knob, Process and Automation modules were selected for control of Pro Tools, while the included Master Touch Module provides multipoint touchscreen control of multiple DAW functions.
ENVY Dubbing Mixer Rich Martin said: "The S6 is an extremely powerful console with a very smooth workflow. We first saw the S6 at Scrub’s Soho preview event and immediately knew that it would be perfect for our new audio suites, and the ability to select the individual modules to match our needs was a major selling point. Scrub was very helpful throughout the installation process and configured it onsite in an arrangement that matches the workflow of our engineers."

The S6 is available from HHB and Scrub in an array of pre-configured M10 and M40 formats, or as a bespoke M10 or M40 system with up to 32 faders. Offering the best of industry leading ICON and System 5 families, S6 can control up to eight EUCON-enabled DAWs simultaneously from anywhere on a facility’s network.
