ELP move into Top Gear

An aircraft hanger at RAF Dunsfold in Surrey is the location for the latest series of Top Gear.
Elstree Light & Power will be providing lighting services and rigging expertise for the summer long production which runs to the end of July 2003.
“This is our second full series” explained production manager John Singer “so we must have made a good impression the first time around!
“The series has been very well received and numerous celebrities have graced the show in recent weeks including: David Soul, Jamie Oliver, Vinnie Jones, Jonathan Ross and Harry Enfield. We are delighted to be part of it.”
The main challenge lighting Clarkson & Co. inside the hanger has been the lack of overhead support on which to hang truss. ELP have had to use their extensive range of ground support equipment to fix over 200 Parcans, 40 Blondes, assorted 2K Fresnels, Dedo Kits, and Zap Lights.
ELP supplied three crew to work alongside BBC lighting director Stuart Gain and the board operators have included Colin Jones and Mark Ninnim.
