Bluefish444 Announces Synapse Price Reduction

Bluefish444 has announced a price reduction for its Synapse mini converters from $USD 899 to $USD 595.

Synapse converters are controlled by dip switches on the side of each converter. By choosing a setting it is possible to convert in real time between a range of industry formats such as 3G HD SDI, HDMI 1.3, Component, S-video, Composite, SDI Embedded Audio, Stereo Unbalanced Audio and AES/EBU digital audio.
Synapse mini converters have been designed with an extra input connector to provide a fail safe redundancy channel. Bluefish444 designed the feature as a result of the prominence of live SDI production workflows within its SDI video card customer base.
All Synapse mini converters have a built in down converter, enabling down scaling options for the multiple outputs. An interlacing feature is available to process progressive frames to PSF frames on all models.

There are three models available.

HDMI 120: HDMI to HD/SD SDI Converter
• HDMI 1.3 input with embedded audio converted to 2 X 3G HD/SD SDI outputs
• Second HDMI 1.3 input for redundancy backup
• Stereo unbalanced audio inputs muxed with HDMI input and converted to embedded SDI audio
• Stereo AES/EBU audio inputs muxed with HDMI input and converted to embedded SDI audio
• Downscaling available on both 3G HD/SD SDI outputs
• Second 3G HD/SD SDI output for preview
• Interlacing from Progressive to PSF video modes
• On screen utility provides configuration settings
• Embedded patter generator to calibrate 3rd party monitors.

SDI 110: HD/SD SDI to HDMI Converter
• 3G HD/SD SDI input with embedded audio converted to HDMI output
• Second 3G HD/SD SDI input for redundancy backup
• SDI embedded audio input converted to stereo unbalanced audio output
• SDI embedded audio input converted to stereo AES/EBU audio output
• 3G HD/SD SDI output for preview
• Downscaling available on 3G HD/SD SDI and HDMI 1.3 outputs

ANA140: Analog to HD/SD SDI Converter
• YUV, S-Video, Composite inputs converted to 2 X 3G HD/SD SDI outputs
• Stereo unbalanced audio inputs muxed with video input and converted to embedded audio
• Stereo AES/EBU audio inputs muxed with video input and converted to embedded audio
• Downscaling available on both 3G HD/SD SDI outputs
• Second 3G HD SDI output for redundancy or preview
• 12 bit Analog to 3G HD/SD SDI conversion
• Interlacing from Progressive to PSF video modes
• On screen utility provides configuration settings
• Embedded patter generator to calibrate 3rd party monitors.
