Audio-Technica To Reintroduce Classic Microphone Models

Audio-Technica is to re-introduce one of its classic microphone models at ProLight + Sound 2014, with other new headphone and microphone products also receiving their PL+S debut at the event between 11-15 March.
The AT4060a tube microphone rejoins the Audio-Technica line-up for 2014 – the cardioid large diaphragm condenser boasts a dynamic range that far exceeds other tube mics, and is capable of handling high SPLs, making it ideal for bringing vintage warmth to everything from vocals to guitar cabinets.
In addition, ProLight + Sound will see Audio-Technica showcasing the newly-arrived M Series monitoring headphones, System 10 Stompbox guitar wireless system and BP894 subminiature headworn microphone.
M Series Headphones
Taking cues from the sound and proprietary design of the company's acclaimed ATH-M50 professional monitor headphones, the new ATH-M20x, ATH-M30x and ATH-M40x deliver accurate audio and outstanding comfort, perfect for long sessions in the studio and on-the-go.
The ATH-M20x, ATH-M30x and ATH-M40x all feature 40mm drivers with rare earth magnets and copper-clad aluminum voice coils, as well as a circumaural design that contours around the ears for excellent sound isolation in loud environments. The ATH-M50x (featuring 45mm drivers) has the exact same sonic signature as the original ATH-M50 and adds refined earpads and three detachable cables.
System 10 Stompbox
The System 10 Stompbox wireless system offers a rugged, metal, pedal board-mountable receiver with foot switch, two switched TRS balanced 1/4-inch outputs and an output mode selector.
With the tap of a foot, musicians can toggle between outputs (e.g. for switching amps) or mute and unmute one output without muting the other (e.g. for tuners without a self-muting feature), while a single receiver can be paired with up to eight UniPak body-pack transmitters, allowing users to easily switch between instruments without having to move a body-pack from one instrument to the next.
BP894
Inspired by Audio-Technica's popular BP892 MicroSet, the BP894 features a rotating capsule housing with talk-side indicator for use on either ear and perfect polar pattern placement.
The MicroSet BP894 takes headworn microphones to the next level, by allowing the cardioid capsule to be aimed directly at the sound source (i.e. the microphone faces the mouth, rather than facing forward like other options on the market). The uniform pickup pattern provides excellent rejection of outside noise, with exceptional gain-before-feedback when used with live sound systems and stage monitors.
Audio-Technica are exhibiting in Hall 8, Stand B32 at ProLight+Sound.
