Media 100 begins shipping content design solution

Media 100 Inc, a leading provider of advanced media systems, have announced that they will begin worldwide shipments of their award-winning system for content design - 844/X - on 26th April 2002.
Media 100 also announced that their network of authorised resellers across the US, Europe and Asia has placed orders for, and has taken shipment of, more than 40 fully configured 844/X systems to support customer and prospect purchase decisions in the field.
The company further announced that it has begun closing end user sales for 844/X in both Europe and the US.

"The 844/X is the culmination of four years of research during which we worked closely with our customers and experts in the field to bring real-time image processing to editors and artists. With 844/X beginning worldwide shipments this month, we're creating the opportunity to grow our company again," he added.
The 844/X is building momentum among resellers and prospective end users as the industry's first content design system to deliver real-time image processing, together with 10-bit internal precision to support the design and editing of complex, highly-creative, visual effects – and layers-intensive audiovisual content.
The 844/X has also won three 'Best of Show' awards for advancements in the art and science of video technology by the digital media editorial community during last week's NAB 2002 Annual Conference and Exhibition.
The 844/X will be available worldwide on April 26 and includes a 1.7 GHz dual processor Compaq W8000, Matrox G550 graphics card, Wacom 6x8 tablet, and 360 GB of storage. The 844/X will be available exclusively through authorised 844/X value-added resellers.
