Viaccess-Orca Address Industry Challenges At CSTB

News Image
At this year's CSTB show in Moscow, Viaccess-Orca is to address the challenges facing the industry, including anti-piracy security, TV Everywhere (TVE), hybrid television solutions, and the role Viaccess-Orca's solutions can play in surmounting these challenges.
David Leporini, Viaccess-Orca's EVP of Marketing, Products, and Security will speak on the subject, 'The Rules of Engagement: An Operator's Guide to Providing a Compelling TV User Experience'.
The presentation will explore how consumers today use an ever-increasing variety of devices and screens beyond traditional TVs and PCs to access video entertainment, and how smartphones and tablets are making viewing an interactive experience.
At CSTB 2014, Viaccess-Orca will also demonstrate the latest enhancements to its end-to-end multiscreen TV Everywhere (TVE) solution.
Content service providers can use the solution to deliver live, VOD and catch-up TV content on any network via any screen.
The company will also highlight COMPASS, its content discovery solution. COMPASS sends subscribers personalised recommendations, enabling them to find content tailored to their specific interests. It can be fully integrated with any service delivery platform.
Visitors to CSTB 2014 will also see Viaccess-Orca demonstrate a hybrid television solution that combines its HbbTV platform and Dynamic Sentinel, a cardless Conditional Access System (CAS).
The solution is designed to simplify the transition from analog to digital. Using the turnkey platform, broadcasters can extend their traditional broadcast services without investing in a new backend solution to protect their revenue streams and increase ARPU.
Viaccess-Orca will also be showcasing its anti-piracy platform, Eye on Piracy, which helps content service providers protect TV services and discover new forms of piracy.
