Mactv film Gaelic drama in Ness

Successful Lewis television company, Mactv, is currently filming a Gaelic television drama in Lewis.
The two-part thriller, 'Anna Bheag', centred on the little girl of the same name, is being filmed in and around the port of Ness for two weeks.
The Mactv team are using local houses, as well as the facilities of the local Comunn Eachdraidh and Taigh Dhonnchaidh in Habost. A large group of local people are also joining the dozen actors in the cast and the 30-strong crew to take part in extras scenes and, consequently, a lot of excitement and revenue is being generated in the area.
'Anna Bheag' was written by Finlay MacLeod and is directed by Calum Angus MacKay and produced by Ann Morrison, both of Mactv. The drama is funded by Comataidh Craolaidh Gaidhlig and is set to be broadcast on both Grampian and Scottish Television.
John Angus MacKay Director of Comataidh Craolaidh Gaidhlig said: "My Committee is very encouraged by this important project with Mactv and expect the result to be of the same high standards that the company always provides."
Mactv produces the weekly late-night current affairs programme 'Ceann-la' and also has the popular series 'An Teaghlach', both on ITV. Mactv, together with Move On Up, also made the documentary 'Craig Dunain', which was broadcast recently on BBC2.
