VMI to host HD event in Leicester Square

VMI Broadcast Facilities, a leading HD rental facility, is to host a HD information day on June 26th at the Swiss Centre, Leicester Square, in the west End of London.
Supported by leading manufacturers such as Sony, JVC, Tektronix and The Hospital HD Studio, the event is expected to be well attended by many large production and post-production companies.
Key speakers on the day will include:

• VMI - MD, Barry Bassett - 25P and HD acquisition;
• Sony - Milan Krsljanin - HD Post Production;
• JVC - Bob Harris - HD video projection;
• BBC - Andy Quested - BBC Production Modernisation - in-depth discussion on BBC's commitment to HD.

A panel of cinematographers including Tim Wooster, Ben Frewin and Andrew Holmes will reveal their HD showreels, giving in-depth discussions of their experiences of using the HD medium.
On demonstration will be JVC's top of the range D-ILA projector, the DLA-QX1, used to screen the HD content. There will be live camera and equipment demo area showcasing the Sony HDW-750 Camcorder.
