Sir Alan Parker to hold masterclass at Hay Festival

Renowned film director and chairman of the Film Council Sir Alan Parker is to give a masterclass on filmmaking at this year's Hay Festival, presented by the Script Factory, on Sunday June 1.
The Script Factory, which runs the event, has a celebrated history of getting star names to talk candidly about working in the film industry. Those who have previously been in the hotseat include Spike Lee, Danny Boyle, Meera Syal and Stephen Frears.
The Script Factory Writers Group organises around 12 masterclasses a year at various events across the UK and Europe. The event is being held at the Orange Word Stage, Hay Festival, Hay on Wye.
