100 Years Of Indian Cinema To Be Celebrated At IBC

IBC2013 opens with a star-studded and action-packed review of the brilliant, diverse and extraordinary living history of Indian Cinema in its convention keynote: '100 years of Indian Cinema: Creative Evolution and Global Markets' on Friday 13 September at 09:30 in the Forum. To mark the occasion, IBC is offering this convention keynote to all attendees for free.
Starring Amitabh Bachchan, widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actors in the history of Indian cinema with over 180 titles under his belt. Bachchan made his Hollywood debut in 2013 with 'The Great Gatsby', and is a genuine superstar.

The truth is that it is the breadth of styles and genres that makes the Indian cinema industry so vibrant and so culturally exciting . I am delighted to have been invited to take part in IBC, a global event at which we can share our knowledge, our experiences and our enthusiasm with our peers from all around the world".
Synonymous with the music and glamour of Bollywood, the country's cinematic heritage stretches back a century during which time it has experimented with many different aesthetics, technologies and acting styles fused with the region's own storytelling panache.
In this exclusive Convention Keynote, the panellists will discuss an industry which today sees a staggering 1,000 films released each year and you'll hear more on how 2012's $2.6 billion box office receipts are expected to grow by more than 20% a year.
