South Wales Police Force choose Panasonic

One of Britain’s leading Police Forces, South Wales Police, have recently purchased several Panasonic DVCPRO camcorders for use in their studios and for shooting while on location.
The AJ-D610WA DVCPRO camcorders were purchased to replace existing DVCAM camcorders, primarily to improve quality and enable the use of police footage by local television stations who preferred to accept DVCPRO.
The AJ-D610WA camcorders are kept in a studio on tripods for use with an autocue system, but are frequently taken out of the studio for use on certain police video productions. These productions have recently included Royal visits, the policing of a Labour Party conference in Cardiff and numerous police exercises and training videos.
Marc Saunders, who heads up the production unit, said of their purchase of the AJ-D610WA camcorders: “We are all very pleased with the quality produced by the camcorders and with the DVCPRO format”.
