100 Years of Twickenham Studios
A new exhibition entitled 'The First 100 Years Twickenham Studios Exhibition' has opened this week, taking visitors on a journey through significant milestones in the studios' history.
The exhibition will be on display at the Riverside Gallery until 21 September.
Twickenham Studios is one of the oldest operating studios in England. The venue is celebrating 100 years since it opened in 1913, but this latest retrospective also marks a new beginning for the studio.
After facing the threat of closure last year and being saved by a private investor, the studio is currently undergoing a £2.5m renovation.
Not only have the advanced facilities secured new productions such as Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth's new thriller Before I Go to Sleep, but it also has restored studio space to London.
"While the construction will continue into 2014, the changes have already provided a stronger outlook for another century of Twickenham," a statement from Film London said.
