Audio-Technica Wins MIPA Mic Award
Audio-Technica has been presented with a prestigious Musikmesse International Press Award at Musikmesse/Prolight + Sound 2013 in Frankfurt.
The company’s new AT5040 microphone was voted MIPA's Best Studio Microphone 2013 by an illustrious panel of writers and editors from the industry’s leading press titles.
The award was presented to Audio-Technica at the MIPA Awards Ceremony on Thursday 11 April.
Audio-Technica's premier vocal microphone, the AT5040 has received positive reviews since its launch. The unusual design of the cardioid condenser model, with its four rectangular elements, has been praised for its stunning clarity, balanced natural response and remarkably low self-noise.
Audio-Technica Europe president Richard Garrido said: "We are delighted that the AT5040 has been honoured by the MIPA panel. It is a very gratifying acknowledgement of the amount of hard work that has gone into the research, design and creation of the AT5040 and I'm very pleased to accept the award on behalf of the Audio-Technica team responsible for our flagship model."
