Tyrell launch range of services at The Production Show

Tyrell, a leading provider of technology to the UK post-production and broadcast industry, have announced three new client services at The Production Show – t-sound, t-commerce and t-bay.
The new online services, plus all the latest Avid, Softimage, Digidesign and Dremedia (asset management) product releases from NAB 2002, will be demonstrated by Tyrell at stand 460.
t-sound is a web-based resource for audio, video and music professionals and includes a fully personalised web engine for search, audition and download of industry-standard sound effects and samples. The site has been powered by and developed in conjunction with Sonomic, a US-based company, which has appointed Tyrell as its exclusive UK reseller.
t-sound features sound effect and sample content from industry-standard providers including the entire libraries from Sound Ideas, Valentino, CA Sound and Clack, and content is increasing by the day. t-sound is centred around a user-specific Soundbay search tool – meaning the user can organise their own folders, settings and download history, which are then available to them from wherever they choose to access the site.
t-commerce is an online sales service for commodity products from the Tyrell portfolio. This feature will allow the secure sale of products and will go live in June 2002.
t-bay is a non-profit making service for the UK’s post-production industry to view, search, buy, sell and provide equipment. Tyrell simply hosts the site and guarantees anonymity, with the identity of both parties only revealed to one another at the point of contact. This completely free, not-for-profit service is designed to provide a forum in which industry members can add to or reshape the equipment they have.
In addition to Sonomic solutions, Tyrell is using The Production Show to showcase a range of new products from Realviz, which has now been added to its portfolio.
Simon Brett, Managing Director of Tyrell, said: “The Production Show is the ideal opportunity for Tyrell to display not only its comprehensive range of products for the broadcast and post-production industry but also the extra client services that Tyrell offers. These three new services, plus the groundbreaking online support service recently launched, combine to provide Tyrell’s clients with an unrivalled and unique level of service that brings cost and time-saving benefits.”
