Digital Rapids Get Live Digital Video On The Move

Datmedia has announced that its DatpresenterV2 rich media webcasting service and software is now compatible with the multiple award-winning TouchStream range of portable video streaming appliances from leading encoding solutions provider Digital Rapids.
Digital Rapids' TouchStream appliances can now be operated using DatpresenterV2, created by Datmedia to allow anyone with basic computer skills to create and brand their own internet TV channel with synchronised rich media. The datpresenterV2 service has a variety of applications including education, training and corporate marketing and includes advanced features such as embedded real-time PowerPoint presentation support, corporate branding, search capabilities and more.
Datmedia's Jay Pritchard said: "The flexibility of the new Touchstream appliances allows our software products to significantly expand some of the key features relating to areas of performance and reliability. The support team at Digital Rapids fully understand the unique requirements of our sychronised presentation package Datpresenter.
"They have once again proven that Digital Rapids are not only providing cutting edge broadcast quality features to the mainstream market, but are also making the most of opportunities to support the 'out of stream' behaviours that will drive the next generation of digital video services."
Touchstream delivers Digital Rapids' renowned live streaming quality and reliability in a fully self-contained, easy to deploy appliance controlled by the most intuitive of human interfaces - touch. Streamlined software controls are accessed through a touch-screen interface with integrated live video monitoring and VU meters of audio validation, eliminating the need for laptops, keyboards, mice and separate monitors.
Touchstream appliances feature the same powerful technology, exception output quality and efficient bandwidth utilisation that have made Digital Rapids' StreamZ and StreamZ Live studio encoding and streaming systems the preferred choice of leading studios, broadcast networks and service providers. Touchstream appliances are used for on-location live streaming of events such as concerts and sporting matches; remote news coverage; courtroom proceedings; PEG (public, education and government) applications; corporate communications; worship; and more.
Brian Stevenson, Director of Product Management at Digital Rapids, said: "We're very pleased that the benefits of Touchstream are now accessible through DatapresenterV2. The DatapresenterV2 software interface makes it easy for users to create custom-branded content portals and TouchStream gives DatpresenterV2 a top-quality, flexible foundation for live streaming video within those portals."
