XL SuperAnalogue is at 'home' in Hamburg
Home Studios of Hamburg have ordered an XL 9000 K Series SuperAnalogue console for Studio 1 of their three-room facility.
Formerly known as The Chateau du Pape, Home Studios have been extensively rebuilt and technically upgraded over the past four years. The 80-channel XL replaces an SL 9000 J Series console.
The move to XL is, according to Studio Manager Carsten Bohn: “Primarily in response to an increasing demand for multi-channel surround mixing. Originally we had planned to order a second SL 9000 J with optional surround monitoring but when we were introduced to the XL – where multichannel mixing is a standard feature – we saw it fitted our requirements perfectly.
“For us, XL means ‘Xtra Logic,’ coupled with an unsurpassable sound; a combination of all our favourite features and qualities in a true state-of-the-art recording and mixing tool.”
