Root6 Brings File-Based Workflow To Belfast And Dublin

Following its debut at BVE North and a well-attended event at Film City, Glasgow, root6 will be taking the very best in file-based workflows across the Irish Sea.
The upcoming one-day events in Belfast at and Dublin will present real-world, practical demonstrations, highlighting the efficiencies that can now be achieved through streamlined, automated file-based operation. The Belfast event will be held on November 27 at Ulster TV, Ormeau Road while the Dublin roadshow will take place at Temple Bar Studios on November 29.
The morning session will show file-based workflow in action, from the point of ingest to broadcast delivery – and everything in between. Online, nearline and archive storage will be presented and the relevant merits discussed. Editing and finishing, using the latest tools, will also be demonstrated while audio is not forgotten. Other important considerations such as file-based QC and accelerated, secure delivery are also covered in the morning session which provides a unique insight into workflows that integrate leading technologies from the industry’s foremost vendors. These include Avid, Aspera, Eyeon, Rohde & Schwarz DVS and StorageDNA.
Following lunch, attendees have the opportunity to get hands-on experience, individual demos and meet with file-based workflow experts, responsible for some of the most innovative workflow solutions currently deployed by leading UK post houses and broadcasters. Attendance is free, but on a first come-first served basis, as space is limited.
