Marquis Launches X2Pro LE And X2Pro Professional

Marquis Broadcast, specialist in content workflows and media integration software, today announced the launch of X2Pro LE and X2Pro Professional, its cutting edge conversion application for delivering Final Cut Pro X projects to Avid Pro Tools for audio finishing.
“X2Pro uses Marquis’ Media Highway, the core technology employed by Marquis’ media integration products to integrate Final Cut Pro X into professional audio workflows, delivering seamless integration between the two applications,” said Chris Steele, product manager, Marquis Broadcast. “The new version of X2Pro Professional includes a number of enhancements designed to improve functionality and increase ease of use. We also introduced a lightweight version, X2Pro LE, that makes powerful audio conversion even more affordable.”
Two important additions to the Professional product are:
• Trimming audio sources with handles to reduce the size of the
AAF files
• Option to reference audio files rather than embed them in the
AAF
In addition, features have been added which enhance the way Final Cut Pro X roles are converted to Pro Tools tracks:
• Select which roles are exported from Final Cut Pro X
• Choose the order in which roles appear in Pro Tools
• Option to ignore subroles when placing media on tracks
• BWF metadata is maintained to preserve key information from
the shoot and make it easier to select the right channel of audio
• Support for XML 1.2 in Final Cut Pro X 10.0.6, with reference
audio clips and muting or disabling of clip segments
These features deliver far more compact tracks in Pro Tools and help accelerate the workflow.

With Version 2's ability to work with referenced media, X2Pro will greatly increase our efficiency in moving from Final Cut Pro X to Pro Tools."
X2Pro LE is the new cost effective option for those who do not need the professional features of media referencing, trimming or detailed control over the conversion of Final Cut Pro X roles. It has the same feature set as X2Pro v1. X2Pro LE and can be upgraded to the Professional edition through In-App Purchase.
