root6 Takes File-Based Workflow On The road

From BVE North through to BVE in London next February, root6 will be taking the very best in file-based workflows on the road.
The one-day events in regional locations will present real-world, practical demonstrations, highlighting the efficiencies that can now be achieved through streamlined, automated file-based operation.
The morning session will show file-based workflow in action, from the point of ingest to broadcast delivery – and everything in between. Online, nearline and archive storage will be presented and the relevant merits discussed. Editing and finishing, using the latest tools, will also be demonstrated while audio is not forgotten. Other important considerations such as file-based QC and accelerated, secure delivery are also covered in the morning session which provides a unique insight into workflows that integrate leading technologies from the industry’s foremost vendors. These include Avid, Aspera, Eyeon, Rohde & Schwarz DVS and StorageDNA.
Following lunch, attendees have the opportunity to get hands-on experience, individual demos and meet with file-based workflow experts, responsible for some of the most innovative workflow solutions currently deployed by leading UK post houses and broadcasters. Attendance is free, but on a first come-first served basis, as space is limited.
