Pyser-SGI sponsor wildlife programme

Pyser-SGI have sponsored the ‘Wild at Art’ wildlife programme due to be released in May this year.
The sponsorship took the form of the loan of a Fujinon A22x7.8E ENG lens with Vocas MB-320 matte box.
‘Wild at Art’ covers the work of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust charity, based in Kenya. The Trust cares for orphaned elephants and other animals with the aim of returning them to the wild. Daphne Sheldrick who runs the Trust, and features in the ‘Wild at Art’ programme, received a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the BBC Animal Awards programme shown recently at the end of December.
Directed and produced by David Felber, ’Wild at Art’ is initially scheduled for video release with proceeds going to the Trust and Born Free Foundation. It features actress Rula Lenska, as presenter and interviewer, with wildlife pencil artist Garry Hodges on a return visit to the Trust’s base in Nairobi. From there they travel to Tsavo East National Park, where the older orphans are prepared for their return to the wild. Both Rula and Gary have had considerable involvement with wildlife conservation.
Cameraman on the project was Stuart Hoyle, with wife Jenny as sound recordist. The Cardiff based couple have worked together on many overseas projects, both for broadcast and corporate productions, and this is the second programme they have made with producer David Felber about artist Gary Hodges’ work.
