Hamlet set to impress at NAB 2003

Hamlet, the leading test and measurement supplier, are demonstrating a range of new products and upgrades at NAB 2003, including a unique software-only measurement package designed for the growing desktop editing market.
VidScope software provides precise waveform and vectorscope displays of DV video, and level and phase displays of embedded audio. The Windows software allows the user to choose which of the displays are required, and can combine them with the video display at any size on an XVGA monitor. Also launched at NAB is a capture card so that the output of any Hamlet device can be input into a computer for display and downloading.
Other products to be seen for the first time include a new version of the Monitor Scope, with a new high-resolution internal LCD screen and XVGA output, ensuring a highly accurate and easy to use display. Like the Digi Scope – which is also updated this year – the Monitor Scope features all-digital signal processing, using Hamlet’s unique patented technology.
New features and functionality has also been added to the Adept range (including the new sparkle gamut display as well as quad split screen), Micro Scope and Video Scope. The Protean HD-capable test signal generator now has geometric test patterns including circles.
The complete Hamlet range provides high-quality test and measurement in an attractive and practical package, at a price point significantly lower than the competition.
