Tyrell Continues To Expand Its UK Business

Tyrell has announced that the company has continued to successfully expand its UK business with significant deals in recent months with leading Production Facilities ENVY and Prime Focus.
Tyrell will provide top UK facility, ENVY, with Avid ISIS shared storage solutions and Avid Media Composer editing software for the facility's new 7,000sq ft. premises at Windmill Street. The company was also awarded the contract to supply, install and support Avid Solutions to Prime Focus for their work with Red Bee Media.
ENVY is due to open their fifth location in London at the beginning of October in a £1.5m expansion which will provide them with 24 new offline edit suites. As ENVY's Avid partner Tyrell was appointed to supply and install 57 Media Composer Mojo DX systems on HP Z800 workstations connected to two 64TB ISIS 5000 shared storage systems. The new facility will house 24 of the new Media Composer systems running on a ISIS 5000 system with the remainder of the Avid solutions being deployed across ENVY’s other premises. ENVY's commitment to Avid is clearly established with the facility already making a significant investment in Avid solutions for the company’s other sites and bringing the facility’s offline capacity to over 100 Avid rooms across the five buildings. One of the first series to be post-produced at the new site will be Top Gear, a recent win for ENVY. ENVY Managing Director Dave Cadle said: "A variety of factors have prompted the expansion, including increased client demand and also our appointment as one of the BBC's preferred suppliers of post services for its current affairs output. Having worked closely with Tyrell on previous Avid projects we were always confident that they would supply us with equipment to the highest standards."
Tyrell has also secured a deal with global entertainment services company, Prime Focus, to supply them with Avid solutions for their post services contract with Red Bee Media. Earlier this year Prime Focus was appointed to provide on-site editing, captioning and audio services to Red Bee Media to support its creative work for clients including the BBC and UKTV.
Tyrell supplied Prime Focus with six Avid Media Composer Nitris DX systems with AVC Intra and GenArts Sapphire Plug-ins and five Avid Media Composer Mojo DX systems, all running on HP Z800 machines. The 11 Avid suites were installed at a new facility at Red Bee Media’s Broadcast Centre in West London to enable them to create and finish over 5,000 promotional items each year.
