JLCOOPER CHOOSES IBC TO LAUNCH NEW CONTROLLER IN EUROPEAN MARKET
Hall 6.B23 is where you'll find the JLCooper stand at IBC. After a few years' absence the boys from California are back and they're bringing a new controller with them, Media Controller MCS5.
The job of the controller is to speed workflow and the MCS5 doesn't disappoint. Easier by far than using a keyboard and mouse, this professional controller has assignable function keys with live labels that are instantly updated as the operator changes applications; easy to read and easy to change. Editing functions, with favourite commands, can be arranged in different banks; one for ingest, another for clip editing and so on. Transport keys and an optically encoded jog wheel complete the line up.
Keysets are provided that can be customised for control of a variety of applications including Final Cut Pro X, iMovie, Premiere Pro, Logic, Nuendo and more.
Joining the MCS5 on the stand will be a range of machine, slo-mo and clip controllers as well as comprehensive Final Cut controllers.
RTW BRINGS EBU R128 COMPLIANT LOUDNESS METERING TO AMSTERDAM
Hall 8.E76 RTW, a market leader in loudness measurement, will be showing its touch screen audio meters TM7 and TM9 and the more compact TM3. All three devices deliver loudness measurement, LRA loudness range and True Peak to comply with the EBU specification R128.
TM7 and TM9 are expandable and offer a comprehensive choice of I/O including, in the TM9, 3G SDI. The selection of metering tools includes moving coils and the famous RTW "House" Surround Sound Analyser for 5.1, 6.1 and now 7.1.

The TM3 is a joy to use either horizontally or vertically and the choice of up to ten pre-configured presets can be accessed with a finger swipe across the sharp display. There are 2 channel or 6 channel versions for stereo and 5.1 use.

STAGETEC INTRODUCES A MIXER TO GET YOUR HANDS ON
Hall 8.C80 As a result of many years' experience working with theatres and concert halls, Stagetec has developed POLARIS touch an audio mixer with theatre automation. Expandable for small, medium or large venues, POLARIS touch is simple to operate using today's touch screen technology.
The base module is compact making it ideal for small control rooms. It includes a touch screen and 16 dual concentric rotaries and acts as the backbone for POLARIS touch. The touch sensitive user control interface allows access to all the audio processing and control functions.
Those who break out in a cold sweat when unable to put fingers to fader are catered for with the addition of a 12 fader bank with hardware keys and automation control and a 16 fader expansion panel is an option if required.
Stagetec NEXUS provides the processing and I/O for a standalone system or when part of a NEXUS audio network with consoles and shared IO linked by fibre optics.
As with all these touch sensitive devices, the best way to get a feel for them is to try them out, so come along to stand 8.C80 and give the POLARIS touch......a touch.
