Cartoon Finance Masterclass to visit Cardiff
Cartoon Finance will be holding a masterclass for industry professionals in Cardiff on June 21-22.
This Cartoon masterclass will provide participants with an analysis of all aspects of financing animation productions. Also in the spotlight will be the broadcasters’ role in the financing of a project, the part of distribution revenues in the financing of a project, annex sources of revenues such as videos, music, games, different markets for animation, different types of contracts, budgets and international co-production deals, revenues for right holders, investment funds, tax-shelters.
Delegates will have the chance to hear and meet representatives from several of Europe's major broadcasters (BBC, France 2, S4C, Super RTL), financiers (Egmont Imagination, Europe Image International, the European Investment Bank, Expand, Canal +, Coficine), producers (Xilam, Siriol, DIC), lawyers, video editors and distributors and web specialists.
This high-level masterclass will be devoted to essential issues of today's television market such as Europe's major audiovisual holdings, youth slots and budgets attributed to animation by television channels, distribution revenues in the financing plan, distribution part-payments, animation on the video market, global production budgets, managing incomes and the cash-flow, particular clauses in a co-production budget, returns on investments, relations with the right holders.
Conference sessions will include addresses on 'International Co-Production Budgets', 'Alternative Sources Of Funding And Annex Revenues', 'Financing Of Programme Distribution', 'International Co-Production Contracts' and 'Incomes Management: Companies' Economic Policies Within A Changing Market'.
The registration fee for the event will be €400 and the final deadline for registrations is June 14.
