Arqiva Network Extended Into Italy With TIMB

Arqiva has strengthened its presence in Italy by offering increased fibre connectivity into this popular market. An agreement with Telecom Italia Media Broadcasting (TIMB) has extended Arqiva's Network into TIMB's national broadcast network. This gives Arqiva access to TIMB's nineteen national Points of Presence enabling Arqiva to deliver international TV channels onto all major TV platforms in Italy. It also offers Italian broadcasters simple TV distribution to Italian communities around the world.
Barrie Woolston, Commercial Sales Director at Arqiva, said: "Arqiva provides distribution services for hundreds of TV channels to dozens of platforms all around the world. Major international broadcasters rely on our infrastructure to ensure their content reaches their audiences. Italy is a popular market for international TV and by working with TIMB we are able to offer broadcasters robust, secure and commercially attractive access to and from Italy."
Roberto Graziano, Head of Sales at TIMB, said: "TIMB is dedicated to ensuring Italian audiences get the very best TV content - both domestic and international. By working with Arqiva we have made it even easier for major international broadcasters to deliver their most popular TV programmes to the local market. Equally important for us is the distribution of Italian programming overseas: the agreement with Arqiva will support this important commitment."
Arqiva operates at the heart of the broadcast, satellite and mobile communications markets. Arqiva's Network forms the backbone of its infrastructure, connecting its international facilities with all the world's major broadcasters and TV platforms.
