Optibase to demonstrate enhanced solutions

Optibase, a leading provider of encoding and streaming solutions, are to demonstrate their enhanced MPEG and Windows Media encoding and streaming platforms on booth SL2623 at NAB 2003.
Optibase products to be demonstrated include the MGW 2400, a multi-channel hardware that is compliant with Windows Media Technology. It is designed to enable high-quality video streaming at bit rates starting as low as 64Kbps. MGW 2400 encodes up to six live channels and has the ability to stream up to 48 unicast or multicast users (with or without an external Windows Media Server).
In addition to utilising Microsoft’s powerful streaming tools, MGW 2400 includes Optibase’s innovative traffic shaping technology to optimise the video quality at any connection speed.
Also on display is the MPEG MovieMaker 200S Publisher, which is compliant with CableLabs® VOD specifications. The new MovieMaker 200S Publisher is an addition to the company’s line of high-end MPEG and Dolby Digital encoding platforms. Other enhanced features include DVB, ATSC and Dolby certification, which all support Dolby 5.1 pass through and DTV-CC EIA 708 Closed Captioning.
