BFI Search For London Film Festival Promoters

The British Film Institute (BFI) has launched a search for an agency to promote the annual London Film Festival.
According to a report by PRWeek BFI is on the look out for an agency with particular expertise in regard to movies and inviting them to pitch for a contract with the fesitval for the next three years.
Taking place in the second half of October, the festival last year featured guests including George Clooney, Madonna and Ralph Fiennes walking the red carpet.
The London Film Festival is the UK's largest public film event, screening more than 300 features, documentaries and shorts from almost 50 countries.
The festival runs under the umbrella of the British Film Institute and aims to showcase the best of world cinema: to champion creativity, originality, vision and imagination, and presents the finest contemporary international cinema from both established and emerging film-makers.
BFI Head of Press and PR Judy Wells told PRWeek: "The winning agency will need to employ specific skills relating to film-festival public relations as well as demonstrate an understanding of the film landscape.
"The appointed agency's remit will cover the festival's overall PR strategy, media relations, press accreditation and screenings, red carpet media management and media partnerships."
