Goodbye Broadcast Video Expo, Hello CeBIT

The Broadcast Video Expo (BVE) was a huge success for Primera Technology and its Disc Publishers.
"As in every year BVE was crowded. Well-informed visitors stopped by our stand to see our latest Disc Publisher models such as the DP-4051, new 50-disc version of our well-known DP-4100 series," said Andreas Hoffmann, Primera Europe’s managing director right after the show.
"Many of them just came to the show to see us. It’s always fantastic to get in touch with customers and get their feedback directly. And at this show the audience represents one of our most important industries: broadcast and video production."
Though BVE was a huge success, it’s not the time to rest on your laurels. CeBIT, the biggest, most international event of the digital industry, is just around the corner. Being held from March 6 – 10, 2012 at Deutsche Messe fairground in Hannover, Germany, CeBIT covers every section and every segment of the ICT world. And though Primera is a CeBIT veteran it will be the first time that Primera is located in the Planet Reseller area.
Primera’s stand is in hall 14, stand L21. Planet Reseller is a limited access area and only resellers, exhibitors and journalists can visit that area. But Primera’s stand is on the edge of that area and therefore is accessible also for regular visitors from the outside of Planet Reseller.
This time at CeBIT Primera will focus mainly on applications that are possible with the Disc Publisher line. Different workstations will show main solutions like archiving, audio and video production, education and healthcare. Further to that Primera’s new Archive-Series Disc Publishers, now with recordable drives and media from JVC
Advanced Media U.S.A., Inc., are shown. JVC’s Archival Grade DVD-R delivers long term data retention by the use of the company’s own specially-developed dye, which controls the initial writing error at low levels. The reflective layer was also specially-developed for archival use and is designed to last the lifetime of the media. The media has a hard-coat surface similar to that of the latest BD-R media.
Compared to JVC’s standard DVD-R surface, the archival media is:
* 200 times more scratch resistant
* 7 times more fingerprint resistant
* 1000 times more dust free
The new Archive-Series safely archives data for 30+ years and is especially suitable for government departments, legal firms and mission-critical applications.
Primera’s best-selling Disc Publisher SE is the first device of its kind to incorporate JVC’s Archival recordable drives and Archival Grade DVD-R media. Archive-Series Disc Publishers with JVC Archival drives are able to burn the Archive Grade DVD-R as well as standard CD-R and DVD-R.
The Archive-Series Disc Publisher is based upon Primera’s best-selling Disc Publisher SE. The Disc Publisher SE Archival sells for €1795.00 (MSRP).
