Film And TV First For Finding Crews
A new online service – thecallsheet.co.uk - will revolutionise crewing by bringing freelancers, production companies and facilities companies together on a single platform for the first time.
Thecallsheet.co.uk will help experienced professionals in film, TV drama and factual, commercials and promos find work and stay better connected.
Its launch has been welcomed by industry bodies including Pact, the APA, UK Screen Association and the Creative Diversity Network.
Dawn McCarthy-Simpson, Senior Policy Executive at Pact, said: "Thecallsheet.co.uk is a great time saving resource, which not only provides you with a list of talent and crew who are available during the time you require them, but comes with the reassurance they will only accept those who have a proven track record."
Steve Davies, Chief Executive of the Advertising Producers Association (APA), said: "Thecallsheet.co.uk is a simple and practical way to find the right people to work on commercials -and being online it fits in perfectly with how everyone in the industry works today."
An Oscar winner, six BAFTA winners and scores of other awards nominees are among those who have already joined thecallsheet.co.uk.
Estimates indicate that less than one in five industry professionals currently has access to a diary service or agent to help match their own availability to current job openings and freelance roles.
Chris Munro, Oscar winner for 'Black Hawk Down', said: "In an industry so technologically obsessed it’s incredible that we are still using the same methods to crew films that we've used for 50 years or more when the rest of the world can find any information they need just by a few clicks of a mouse on the internet. is long overdue thecallsheet.co.uk and will bring crewing of films into the 21st Century."
thecallsheet.co.uk has been created specifically for people working behind the camera with a minimum of 10 credits or at least two years actual industry experience. Unreleased or short films will not be accepted as credits and every

Detailed profile pages, linked to an online diary service and fully searchable credit listing, will help connect crew to current opportunities. UK production and facilities companies as well as professional recruitment agencies will be able to list openings and post current requirements on the site free of charge. No unpaid positions will ever be posted on the site.
The site will also keep members well-informed with up to date industry news, insights and interviews with industry giants - Panavision will be writing technical blogs for the new site.
Credit on members CVs will become part of a wider UK database, covering film, TV, commercials and promos, making it easier for production companies to do a free search for individuals by availability, grade, location, skills and credits.
Members will be able to access a chase list, online diary system and jobs board, as well as news and directory services, downloadable templates, industry glossary and exclusive forums, discounts and competitions - the full range of benefits on the site will be up to 80% cheaper than traditional diary services.
Thecallsheet.co.uk has both free access and a subscription rate for individuals of £14.99 per month.
Members of recognised unions, guilds, associations and diary services including GLM, GBCT, NASMAH and WFTV will automatically qualify for a discounted rate .
A separate area of the site will cater for entry level applicants and help bring through the next wave of talent.
