NBC Will Cover Olympics In 3D With Panasonic

It has been revealed that for the first time ever sport lovers will be able to view the Olympics in 3D.
NBC Sports Group and Panasonic are teaming up to make the London 2012 Olympic Games available in 3D.
NBC, which won the rights to broadcast the games in the US market, and Panasonic, announced the plans on Monday at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
So the London Olympics will air in 3D, bringing the games right into living rooms equipped with cutting edge televisions and the right providers.
The companies have not yet announced which pay-TV providers intend to carry the Olympic coverage in 3D.
Meanwhile in the UK the BBC promises to bring us wall-to-wall Olympic coverage this summer.
The BBC is not technically the host broadcaster of the Olympics – that job is shared by numerous national broadcasters under the umbrella of the Olympic Broadcast Service — but in every other sense it will be the home of London 2012.
For the first time ever the BBC will attempt to show every hour of every event, 2,500 hours in total. They will also trial new super-high definition broadcasting.
