Panasonic Celebrate Countdown To London 2012

With two years until the London 2012 Olympic Games, the official worldwide olympic partner in the audio and visual equipment category will host a one day event called 'Get Ready for London 2012.'
The event - with Panasonic Corporation - will take place in Trafalgar Square on July 27th to mark the occasion.
The celebration highlights include a "3D Future Zone" featuring six special pods that include Panasonic's Full HD 3D Plasma Home Theater Systems. The systems allow visitors to enjoy exciting Olympic footage from recent Olympic Games in high-quality 3D, immersing them in the true-to-life full HD 3D image.
Also, in cooperation with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), and British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the British broadcaster for London 2012, Panasonic will broadcast a live feed of the celebrations being hosted in the Olympic Park, East London on their big screen in Trafalgar Square. By receiving the BBC News channel live feed, Panasonic’s 60m2 LED screen in the square, will give people an opportunity to be a part of this milestone day in the countdown to London 2012.
“We are proud to support London 2012 Olympic Games and commemorate 'Two Years to Go' at the historic site of Trafalgar Square," said Keith Evans, Managing Director, Panasonic UK Ltd. "As the Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in AV category, we have been supporting the visual development of the Olympic Games, and we believe that 3D will be the future gold medal standard for experiencing every moment of the Olympic Games - it really is the next best thing to actually being there."
Paul Deighton, Chief Executive Officer of LOCOG said: "Panasonic has supported the Olympic Games for more than 20 years with its AV technology, and we are excited about continuing this partnership with Panasonic for London 2012. Panasonic's Full HD 3D technology shows us great opportunity for both sport and technology by capturing the passion of sport like never before and delivering an outstanding viewing experience for fans across the world."
