Live Interactive Web Series On Way

Social Media Factory, the social media agency and its technical partner Orca Digital, have been commissioned to produce a live and interactive web series spin-off to UK broadcaster C4 and Monkey Kingdom’s new primetime show Home For The Holidays, it was announced today.
The new 6 x 30’ live interactive web series, commissioned by Channel 4 Online, will accompany the Vernon Kay fronted live entertainment event – which C4 will strip in primetime from 18th December – airing straight after the TV broadcast.
The web show, hosted on Channel4.com, is titled Home For The Holidays – Extra Stuffing and is hosted by comedian Charlie Baker. The show features interviews with stars of the show as well as taking questions live from on-line viewers via the web, Facebook and Twitter.
Peter Cowley, Founder and MD of Social Media Factory commented today: "We are delighted to secure this commission and work with C4 again on this new web series.
"The broadcaster is a leader in the extension of its content and brands into the digital space, so producing this web series to accompany one of their flagship primetime Christmas shows is a great opportunity.
"We are looking forward to working with our partners at Orca Digital and the producers of this seasonal gameshow, Monkey Kingdom, to create plenty of innovative, fun and lively content around this unique show."
This new commission follows Social Media Factory’s recent success producing Live in Chelsea, the spin-off web series to hit structured reality series Made in Chelsea for E4 and its recently wrapped behind the scenes web show for T4’s Stars of 2011, produced in partnership with Princess Productions for Channel 4.
Social Media Factory continues its strategic partnership with Orca Digital in the production of the series, using its ShowCaster social web TV platform – used previously for Live in Chelsea and T4 Stars of 2011 and will partner once again with Monkey Kingdom, producer of Made in Chelsea.
