FXT Series Shatters SPECsfs2008 NFS Benchmark

Avere Systems' FXT Series has established new performance standards and bested former benchmark leaders NetApp and EMC in the SPECsfs2008 NFS benchmark test.
Test results show across-the-board superior results for Avere in throughput, latency and footprint, clearly demonstrating the dramatic impact its NAS optimization products have on scaling application performance at a fraction of the cost and space of legacy NAS solutions.
Results were achieved during testing of a 44-node cluster of Avere FXT 3500 appliances using the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation SPECsfs2008_nfs.v3 benchmark. The system achieved a record-setting combination of 1,564,404 ops/sec throughput and minimal latency of .99ms ORT (overall response time).
Only 752 disks and 104 rack units were used in the test configuration, 1/4th the amount used by the previous benchmark leader.
