AMIS Meets Elaborate Demands Of Live Sports Industry

With the live sporting and entertainment circuit demanding more elaborate production set-ups than ever before, AMIS, the specialist video production company has announced its investment in two Flir cameras, which are worth over 1 million dollars.
Working closely with Azule Finance to expand its niche operations, the addition of these highly advanced cameras, which are designed to military specifications, has enabled the company to expand their portfolio and win a contract with the third largest sporting event in the world, the Americas Cup.
Having hung their hat on a range of other major sporting events, AMIS has built up a vast amount of experience in the field. However, with more and more high profile live sporting events requiring increasingly versatile camera systems, they needed to rapidly upgrade their operations. Having been let down by high street lenders, AMIS has been working closely with industry specialists Azule Finance to quickly expand its business and meet the necessary demands.
Simon Aldridge of AMIS explained: "We needed a very specific broadcast solution that was resilient, versatile and dependable. Although very expensive, the water-based Flir cameras have an immensely strong build quality. They are designed to military specifications and so they are hermetically sealed, water resistant and allow us to film those essential rock-steady shots from the water that we need, this will really bring the Americas Cup to life for viewers. Thankfully, Azule's unique understanding of the fast evolving live production industry meant they instantly grasped the commercial value that this addition would bring to our portfolio. By purchasing this equipment, it now makes us one of the biggest providers of HD stabilised camera systems in the world."
With Azule relieving the pressure of finance issues, Amis productions were also able to secure the purchase of 3 additional Cineflex V14 HD cameras for the aerial filming of the events.
Peter Savage, Managing Director at Azule Finance commented: "We are seeing that year-on-year more production teams are requesting increasingly sophisticated solutions, and therefore very specific broadcast technologies. At Azule, our unique understanding of this sector means that unlike high street lenders we instantly identify the long term business value in these complex investments, and so we are able to offer quick competitive finance to allow AMIS to take advantage of this niche market."
